Submission Guidelines

• Eligible artwork includes oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, mixed media, drawing, printmaking and photography.
• All artists must be 18 years of age or older and not enrolled in a college, university or art school.
• Each artist may submit up to 10 images of the work they would like to exhibit.  Images may be submitted on a CD or as 8" x 10" prints.  Images submitted on a CD should be jpegs with a maximum height or width of 10 inches.  Do not send original work.  The gallery is not responsible for loss or damage to submissions.
• Label each image on the CD or the back of each print with the artist name, title, medium, size and year.
• The maximum size acceptable for each piece is 20" x 24" framed.  All artwork must be framed or gallery wrapped.  The back must have D-rings and hanging wire.
• Include an artist statement, résumé and a list of the images submitted.
• Include complete contact information with email address for notification.
• All work must have been completed within the past 5 years.
• All work must be for sale.
• Include a SASE for return of the submission.  Submissions without a return envelope and adequate postage will be discarded.
• Submissions should be mailed or delivered to: Gallery 28, 2010 Competition, 1228 Grant Avenue, San Francisco 94133.  No calls please.

Fee - A maximum of 10 images may be submitted for a $30 entry fee.  Additional images may be submitted for a fee of $5 for each additional image for a total of 20 images.  Checks and credit cards are accepted.

Deadline - All submissions must be received by April 15, 2010.  Winners will be announced in May.

Winning entries - Winners will be provided with additional information regarding the exhibition once the selections are made.  The artists receive 60% of sales.
